Unusually Good Food Company began as an idea sparked by the Enactus Okanagan College team, who saw a growing need to create a sustainable solution to help end food waste in the Okanagan.

But they knew real impact doesn’t happen in isolation. That’s why they partnered with Okanagan Beverage Company—an established local juice producer equally passionate about reducing food waste. Together, they began rescuing fruit that didn’t meet grocery store standards and turning it into high-quality juice.

From day one, the two teams worked hand-in-hand. The name Unusually Good captured the essence of their shared mission so perfectly that in 2025, Okanagan Beverage Company officially took the lead, carrying forward the Unusually Good mission to rescue fruit that would otherwise be wasted, and support our BC farmers by providing them additional revenue and supporting the long-term viability of our BC fruit farms.
